Easter Styling Inspiration Shoot with The Boutique Baking Company

Those of you with your eyes peeled this weekend will have seen a styled easter shoot on the wonderful Love Luxe Blog on Saturday morning. The Love Luxe Blog is a Wedding and Party planning blog with so much pretty on it's pages. Well worth a look if you're looking for styling ideas.

With Easter just around the corner, Vickie (aka Mrs Bou) at The Boutique Baking Company got in touch to see if I'd be interested in shooting an easter table scene - obivously I jumped at the chance. Styled shoots are wonderful because we get to explore creative possibilities, and for a photographer it's like play time! I love taking the time to think about how exactly I want to shoot something, I think it really helps because the next time I'll be shooting details is on a limited time frame on a wedding and it's great to put into practice ideas I've already tried out.

It's always exciting exchanging emails about the concept and colours for the shoot - I knew it would be special and Vickie didn't disappoint. I love all the natural elements she put together - I know I'm not capable of putting anything quite this special together for easter but it's really inspired me to try. Personally, I think I'll try and incorporate some spring flowers and some natural (not candy coloured) looking eggs. I feel a pinterest board coming on!

Here are some of my favourites from our shoot. You can see the full write up on the Love Luxe Blog here. Feel free to let us know what you think!

So much fun! I had such a lovely time and I'm brimming with ideas for our own Easter table. I'm so excited about the next few days - Steve's off work tomorrow so I'm planning lovely things for us to do - it's going to be an amazing few days of R & R.

Have a wonderful Easter! Rach x

Wethele Manor Outdoor Wedding: Natalie and Mike

We are so appreciative of how well our couples look after us! Natalie and Mike were no exception to this - we felt so blessed to be sat at a table looking at homemade jam favours with our names on! Thank you so much. Natalie and Mike had their ceremony at the gorgeous Wethele Manor. Being just down the road from us, I've always wanted to shoot there and it definitely lived up to my expectations!

We started off the day at Natalie's parents' house, whilst Steve caught up with the boys at the venue.

Natalie's bridesmaids arrived and got ready to go!

Meanwhile, Steve was capturing the excitement before the ceremony!

I adore shooting outdoor weddings! There's something so special about an abundance of natural light.

I just love how Natalie and Mike are looking at each other!

In Warwickshire, you're not allowed to take many photographs during a civil ceremony, but still enough to catch the emotion of the occasion!

I had no idea what would happen next and it was SO much fun. Despite the potential hazard, no one got hurt by the bombardment of paper aeroplanes as they walked back down the aisle. Definitely one of my favourite moments of the wedding season! Especially as Mike is a pilot - I love how they incorporated flight into their day.

So much fun! After a few drinks and a chance to see their guests, we spent some time in the grounds taking some portraits of the two of them. We always think this is a great idea, not only to get some beautiful photographs but as a chance to take some time out and soak it all in!

Natalie had been so creative with the marquee decor - it was hard to stop photographing all the details!

During the meal, I couldn't resist taking a few more pictures around the grounds at Wethele.

I love photographing the speeches, so many smiles!

Shortly after there was dancing - the perfect end to such a beautiful day. We were definitely sad to leave this one!

Natalie and Mike, thank you so much for having us! We really had a ball!

Much love, Rach x
